About

Hello and Welcome!

about

I’m Delaney, and I’m so glad you made your way to my little corner of the internet!

About Me

I am currently a sophomore at Minnesota State University, Mankato.  Born and raised in Minnesota, I guess I just had to get my degree in sub-zero temperatures too.  I’m pursuing a degree in Theatre, which has been a lifelong passion of mine.  Even though learning to be a professional singer/actor/dancer is hard, I am fully enjoying studying something that makes me truly happy.

Oh, and I also really love cats.

I love Jesus!  I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian family, but my faith really took off after I graduated high school.  After working at a Bible camp for two summers, I realized that I had a passion for talking with people about God.  I love supporting others who are on this adventure called faith.  I have witnessed God work in my life and the lives of others in some pretty amazing ways, and I can’t keep it to myself!

About the Blog

For the longest time, I felt like I had a really positive message to share with others, but I just didn’t know how to get it out there.  Then, in February 2016 I started Laughs Without Fear.  It was a bit of a rough ride for a while, but I believe I’ve found my own aesthetic and style of learning.  Learning new things and seeing my blog grow is what makes blogging my favorite hobby.

I never knew that blogging would be such a strong creative outlet for me.  It’s amazing to watch your inspiration come to life right before your eyes.  I never knew what a strong creative outlet blogging would be for me.  10 out of 10 would recommend!  You can read about how I got my start blogging here.

You might be wondering, why do I call this blog “Laughs Without Fear”?  Because of Proverbs 31:25  “She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future”  That is exactly how I want to live my life; with strength, dignity, and no worries about what tomorrow will bring.  By running this blog, I am inviting you to live this way with me!  God did not create us to be people who fear the future, but rather trust that the future is in His hands.
